When I was a kid, they thought I was retarded. I guess they meaning my teachers, parents, school district, etc. Anyways, I had to go to intense language evaluations/coaching- I'm really not sure what to call it exactly, although I remember it in detail. Also, when I was in 3rd grade, I got put into a split class 2nd/3rd grade class- basically a class for 3rd graders who weren't smart enough to be in a real class! That was the case until I tested into gate in 4th grade, after my I.Q. was tested it confirmed my hypothesis- my I.Q. was above average- classified as a borderline genius. 6 years later, I discovered my I.Q. had gone up an average of 2 points per year.
