I'm only doing this for documentation purposes. By the way, mercury is in retrograde, and I've had a migraine for dayz at this point. It sucks how much mercury in retrograde really seems to change things...

House Rejects Bailout Package, 228-205; Stocks Plunge- WASHINGTON — In a moment of historic import in the Capitol and on Wall Street, the House of Representatives voted on Monday to reject a $700 billion rescue of the financial industry. The vote came in stunning defiance of President Bush and Congressional leaders of both parties, who said the bailout was needed to prevent a widespread financial collapse.

by the time that bell sounded again on the New York Stock Exchange, seven and a half frantic hours later, $1.2 trillion had vanished from the United States stock market.

The broad market, as measured by the Standard & Poor’s 500-stock index, plunged almost 9 percent, its third-biggest decline since World War II. The Dow Jones industrial average fell nearly 778 points, or 6.98 percent, to 10,365.45.

These headlines were flashed on the Wellness Health Education Network screen at work all day. I hate being able to conveniently read headlines all day, because the future is just so ominous. Everything is changing. and falling apart. The world is never going to end; the world we know will now be a thing of the past.

A few nights ago I kept saying that the state of the country's economy was very ominous. I have had very ominous visions. In addition, it coincides with a personal monetary setback- I paid $500 to the city of San Francisco for parking tickets from a year ago, I don't want to talk about it, and I take responsibility. I guess that's all have to say.

It's weird because everywhere and everything is just "business as usual" and nothing is really happening yet. Has america peaks, and now it can only go down, be less nice, and less rich?
