In the past, science had not advanced enough to break the cycle of birth and death- in short humans had to rationalize to themselves that death is in fact a good thing, because it was the inly option.
Now, with immortality in our grasp, we realize that it is not a good thing, there is nothing noble about the end of life. There is nothing beautiful/special about the aging process. It's tragic.
How inspiring to live in a world with no biological limits.
