obsession with death

Last night when I was listening to the music my little brother produced at 16, I realized that both of us seem to have a strange fascination with death. When I took a career aptitude test in high school, it told me to be a mortician. My astrology says that I'll be attracted to situations and professions involving an aspect of dying or death. But isn't life extension just that, treating death as a disease?
