West Antarctic ice threat revised down; still dire
A new study has found the air in Madrid and Barcelona is also laced with at least five drugs — most prominently cocaine.
... but it says you can't get fucked up from breathing the air- bummer! I can't believe drugs have become part of pollution.

Maggots no wonder cure for festering wounds
I saw this on tv... kind of hard to swallow. Interesting that the maggots eat each other as soon as all the dead/dying flesh is gone, and don't burrow into healthy tissue.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., March 14 (UPI) -- The U.S. Internet search engine Google says its Google Mars feature began offering up-to-date images of Earth's planetary neighbor Saturday.
I'm so impressed! Maybe simple softwares such as this is what it takes to get the next generation really passionate about space travel.
The service, a relaunch of GrandCentral, which Google bought in 2007, allows you to choose a local number, which will simultaneously ring up to six phones such as your cell phone, home phone, office phone, and the phone at that vacation home that most of us can only dream about.
In addition to forwarding your calls, it also takes voice messages that you can listen to on the Web, from a phone, or read, thanks to a new feature that transcribes voice messages and sends them as e-mail and text messages.

Stargazers were in for a real treat Friday night when the full moon lit up the night sky in its brightest display in 50 years.
-> I saw it last night, but for some reason it just didn't sparkle quite in the way I thought it would. Also, it was cloudy for half thr night, so I had to miss out on this great spectacle. I live a few blocks from the beach, and during a night walk to check out the tide, I did notice that it was a lot higher than usual!

Green
I have been registered with only one political party since I turned 18- The Green Party.
I'm just saying that's it's been 6 years. I've cared about the environment since I was a child.
And I've cleaned up pollution, long story about discovering that the wastewater treatment plants were the ones responsible for pollution in all the freshwater watersheds north of baltimore early 2000s...
Does that mean I'm a good person? I'm going to treat this blog as my voice recorder.

disease
"A controversial new theory suggest that man introduced many diseases into the ecosystem..."
I think about that a lot, how humans wiped out many mammals with diseases. I also think about the following a lot:
-environmental pollution
-genetic pollution
