Why don't I talk to psychologists? Well, I place a great deal of faith
in psychology, after I learned about it I could see it everywhere; I
became able to psychoanalyze myself and apply it in my own life. It's
strange to think that psychology was recently invented, and made
popular by Anais Nin.
It makes me wonder what my contemporaries could potentially invent.
But anyways, would you want to sit down in a room and tell all your
secrets to some old person you just met (and have no reason to trust)?
I think I'll just tell the whole world by writing about myself on the
Internet- it's ironically less intrusive.
Being an adult is all about navigating the rocky road of trust.
Do you trust yourself?
Can you rely on your brain to make your body do the right thing?
Who do you trust?
Your family and friends? Your co-workers? Your teachers, police
officers, and government? Do you trust D-Nasty? Do you trust that your
mail will be delivered each day? Do you trust the bum on the street
asking for money? Do you trust the ads that are beamed into our
conscious and subconscious minds? Do you trust that the bus will come
on time, and get you where you need to go efficiently? Do you trust
your body to stay alive another day? Do you trust the gun you bought
on the black market to do a quick and efficient job? Do you trust the
euro, peso, mark, yen, dollar, or the pound? Do you trust that
everyone will keep agreeing money has certain values in specific
places over time? Do you trust the love songs we hear on the radio? Do
you trust numbers, letters, symbols, signs, and psychics? Do you trust
the media to remind what's hot and what's not, and also what we should
focus on? Do you trust the smiling stranger whose honest face begs for
trust?
Initially, I was told that I shouldn't believe what I read on the
Internet, but what if all the information is correct?
Or do you believe in nothing? E-mail responses to dgoodness@gmail.com :)
My advice? Read perezhilton.com several times a day to get to what's
really important.
