movie review- Gendernauts

Last night, I watched a movie from the late 90s called Gendernauts. The documentary takes place in San Francisco, and as a native of the bay area, as well as a resident of San Francisco since 2002, I am personally interested in the message of the story as well as the people. For me, it's very interesting to see the recent history plays out in film, because I didn't get he chance to live it. When this movie came out, I would have been in 9th grade, so I was still out of the loop at that point.

San Francisco has always been a mecca for queer people, and as it is discussed in the movie, San Francisco is one of only a few handful of cities in the WHOLE WORLD who makes legislation in favor of trans and gender queer people. Although anti-discrimination seems to be a human rights issue, just as we've all seen from the recent removal of trans people from the anti-discrimination act a few months, discrimination is alive and well in our nation's capital. As a statistic, I guess I should repeat that trans people have the highest rates of unemployment of any minority in the entire world.

I find the 90s to be such an optimistic time. Bill Clinton was president, and overall the country was doing a lot better in every measurable respect of success. It seems like the 90s was really the conception of the contemporary. I was amazed about how the movie initially dealt with the singularity and uploading consciousness. Making humans analogous to cyborgs was also smart and relevant, because as much as we'd like to think we're all unique and self-created, we really are just an amalgamation of everything present in our culture, our identities still run on scripts and schemas. It seems like gender queer people understand something that everyone else who blends in never could; or perhaps gender queer simply can't understand anything with respect to culturally constructed gender roles and instead are completely self created...

What I find the most interesting about this movie, are the subjects who instead of transitioning from 1 gender to another, instead choose to occupy a yet unnamed and still "underground" middle ground, choosing to neither be masculine or feminine. It's strange to think how much of a "big deal" these kinds of people pose to society even now. Even I find myself staring when someone doesn't fit into the preconceived boxes that I've been socialized to expect. Even now, in the 2000s, men are left with the emotionless butch archetype, and women can choose either to be disney princess femme or be met with much resistance through life.

Celebrity Rehab on VH1 is amazing! The porno girl is already my favorite, she's already such a mess it's amazing. Dr. Drew is just so great, I've been a huge fan of his for many years. It's really inspiring to see someone content to become famous as a Doctor, instead of for some other reason. I can't believe that they got Chyna Doll back for another reality TV series. I also love Brigitte Nielson from Surreal Life and Strange Love.

Dinaz and I couldn't fucking believe that one guy they had on that show. It was basically a body being wheeled around, hallucinating, and about to die on cable TV- serving no purpose aside from being a good laugh for me and Dinaz. Dinaz and I speculated that perhaps, that person was never even famous, and had been planted as a reality TV surprise to scare the porno girl and Chyna Doll out of getting fucked up. Dinaz thinks everyone on that show is a joke.

I first started listening to Loveline a long time ago, it was always an amazing resource for sexual education. I remember the show on Mtv to be equally as fascinating, I was always a big fan of it. I get sad when I think that for a lot of kids, that was their only outlet for sexual education throughout their young adult lives. Well, that and looking at porn on the internet.

I"m glad that Dr. Drew got a new forum to bring his "addiction medical specialist" skills to work. He's going to be educating millions to the actuality of drugs and humans relationship with them.

Dr. Drew is all about sex and drugs! Loves it.



One time I saw a picture of Chyna Doll's clit on the internet, it was a screen capture from her sex video. This clit was fucking out of this world, it was so enlarged that perhaps Chyna Doll could fuck a chick with her clit. Chyna Doll is so ridiculous, I speculate that her clit has turned into the beginning stages of a tranny phallus from steroids? What's your hypothesis?

OK, maybe I'm exaggerating. I guess her clit could get some guys off? I never saw her sextape, why would I want to see it anyways? One Night In Chyna is nothing like One Night In Paris. Paris's movie was glamorous, fun, and everything it needed to be.

I love that even Chyna Doll has "leaked" a sex tape. I think "actors and actresses" won't be able to "becum famous" unless they're also porno starts. Dinaz and I watched Kim Kartrashian's "mom" sell her out to playboy yesterday on reality TV. What is this world cumming to? Cause I need some of that. jklol

For the Love of Dolly

I don't care if you don't believe me, what I'm typing is the truth.

My grandma happens to be close personal friends with somebody in Dolly Parton's inner circle. Who? It's Dolly Parton's personal assistant. My grandma and her friend grew up New York, just like all my family (me and my little brother are first generation Californian). There's a cool secret I will reveal in the first sentence of the next paragraph. We all know how Dolly Parton and Oprah are the 2 richest entertainers (in the world), right?? Well, Dolly Parton's personal assistant of many decades happens to be a FEMALE TO MALE transsexual who transitioned back in the 50's. He has large, thick, shoulders, a full beard. From the looks of it, you would never know. The only time I ever really could tell was when I listened to friendly voice mails he left on my grandma's answering machine. In many ways, I thought his ability to "pass" must have made him happy in life; like most trannies, he has been single his whole life.

Dolly Parton is a lesbian. It's a secret she's held onto her entire life, and she only tells other gay people because she knows her audience is mostly redneck pieces of shit and white trash. Oh wait, aren't those the same things? I respect her will to contain her secret, more than anything. I guess not everyone has a problem with "kissing and telling" the way I do. Anyways, Dolly Parton grew up in a totally different time. I can't imagine how hard the choices in her life must have been; I personally respect her reasons for remaining closeted. I love how she realized pretty fucking quick how if she was to femme it up, nobody would talk shit. Way to work the system Dolly!

Can I take a minute to get out in the open the face that I love Dolly Parton with all my heart? She has inspired millions of people with her self-made rags to riches story. She'll be an icon for many generations to come, I'm sure.

I find it ironic yet comforting how the 2 richest entertainers happen to be a black woman, and a lesbian. Anything really is possible int his world! They inspire me to do whatever it takes to achieve all my goals, and continue to dream as big as I possibly can. If you watch anything behind the scenes with Dolly SUCH AS For the Love of Dolly (a documentary about her on logo) they show her female lover- a nerdy looking white woman with very short hair and glasses. Dolly has had her sham marriage with a man for many decades, but that like so many other things, is just another cover up.

I'm probably going to copy and paste this blog into DIFFERENT PLACES, because I've been meaning to type this story for so long. When I was a small child, my grandma and mom took me to Disneyland. Or it might have been Disney world, I was under 5 (just a baby whore at this point in my lyfe), but I STILL REMEMBER A LOT, probably because I happen to have a genius level I.Q. that has a tendency to RISE @ a RATE of about 2 points per year. I remember the flight was a small airplane that only sat 20 people or less. It was so much fun flying through a cloud in a plane that small! newayz...

What do I remember about Dolly? Well, I never got to meet her, but I did get to stay in her house in L.A. AND ride in her limo all over town for 4-5 days. Her personal assistant was so sweet to me, he'd pick me up all the time and throw me in the air and catch me (which I loved because I was a little kid). He didn't hesitate to go on rides with me, and he was with me when I got the mickey mouse ears with "Darrin" embroidered on the back. He was the first tranny I ever met; I didn't find out he was a tranny until my early teens. Why is blogger underlying tranny in red? It doesn't recognize that that tranny is a word- another sign of American culture's futile attempt to render trans people invisible.

Did I ever mention that TRANSSEXUALS have the HIGHEST RATE of UNEMPLOYMENT, MORE than ANY other minority? I learned it in an LGBT Studies Class at SFSU. Again, blogger underlined LGBT in red, trying to tell me it's not a word. L.G.B.T. Oh wait, maybe I have to put periods between the letters...

What is the most interesting thing I remember? He had 2 cats called THE NINJA TURTLE CATS who pooped and peed in a toilet, instead of a litter box- I'm so not kidding, it blows my mind to this very day.

I'll always love Dolly. That's why I have her autograph, so I can look at her face as a constant reminder of my dreams and goals, and know that they will come true if I make it happen. My coat of many colors...

KATHMANDU, Dec 21 (Reuters) - Nepal's Supreme Court ordered the government on Friday to end discrimination against gays and guarantee sexual minorities the same rights as other citizens.



Nepali men and women who identify themselves as transgender say they are discriminated against in jobs and education, and do not get government identification certificates with their gender as the "third sex" instead of male or female.

Gay rights activists say they have difficulties in inheriting property in the Hindu-majority nation because they belong to neither the male or female category.

Supreme Court judges Pawan Kumar Ojha and Balaram K.C., in response to a petition by Nepal's main gay rights group, Blue Diamond Society (BDS), ordered the government to scrap or amend laws that discriminate against the sexual minority.

"It is a huge victory for us," said Sunil Pant, founder of the BDS.

Hours after the decision about two dozen lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transgender people sprinkled vermilion powder on themselves and marched in a victory parade near the Supreme Court.

Now, education, citizenship papers and jobs could be given to individuals without identifying them as males or females and by mentioning their gender as "third sex", Pant said.

In conservative Nepal, "unnatural sex" can fetch punishment of up to one year in jail (Reporting by Gopal Sharma; editing by Krittivas Mukherjee)

holidaze

The biggest shopping weekend of the year is over? I live downtown, I haven't even been able to walk the streets the entire weekend! The holidaze really brings ppl out of the wood work, intense!

Cookie called me today and left me a funny message! I love random messages that bring a smile 2 one's face on a nondescript day. I think I forgot to tell Cookie that I really respect her and that I treat everything she tells me as something divine. Native Americans worship trannies as gods, and as far as gods go, trannies seem like a good choice to me.

The last time I was talking to her I was talking about how she could get a free SRS if she was a government employee. I was like, you should just go to city college and get a certificate or whatever for library science, and work downtown! I was like, the world has done nothing but fuck you over every way possible, might as well abuse a system that never should have existed in the first place! I'm all about Cookie's style, I think she has a fierce eye, and can mix it up like no otha! U go girl! I recently met another trannie named Danielle who lives in the tl, I like her too! She's very artistic, she has drawn a lot of self portraits. She told me she thinks I'm an angel, I thought that was cool. I was talking about SRS and whatnot. If I ever rose to any sort of power, as a world leader or whatever, I would get rid of money, but every1 would have to work for free. I would outlaw a military, and put money into scientific research. I'd fund museums. I'd make it so there were robots to do blue collar jobs, so all the humans could do something more interesting with their time.

ok my rant for the day- the united states is still killing HELLA ppl (on both sides) AND exterminating gay people at an alarming rate.

Don't feed me bullshit that soldiers "did it for the money." Even though I have a genius level IQ, it's a FACT that MONEY is EASY to ACQUIRE.

I hope everyone who is fighting for the "united states" gets blown the fuck up tonight, because it's a fact that they DESERVE 2 DIE!!!

Too bad most of them are black anyways fighting for "str8" white men who enslaved them not too long ago.

For example- tonight on mtv a commercial played that was TRYING to get BLACK MEN to inlist in the army. Right after, a anti-war peace commercial aired. What kind of a world are we living in.

Another example of my "out of control" cuntness was when me and west moved out of our old GHETTO DUMP of an apt. I was a HUGE bitch to the property manager. To make a long story short, our deposit was $1300.00 and we were supposed to get WAY LESS back, but thanks to my dramatics, we got a check for $1,421.41!!!! MORE than we were supposed to- I love how I can get whatever I want if I just don't lie on my back and allow ppl to fuck me in the ass dry!

Who says it doesn't pay to be a bitch? CUZ IT DOES

omg I just remembered they were supposed to charge us for 8 days of rent and they didn't!
