SpaceX achieved another milestone for private space travel on Monday by carrying a satellite into orbit. It's hoped that the commercial operation may eventually be capable of carrying astronauts and cargo to the international space station, helping to fill the void after the U.S. shuttles go out of service. SpaceX may also pave the way for space tourism.
